CWBLM0017

CWBLM0017 RC2=28 when starting a PC5250 session. Check the following on the IBM iSeries family of servers:
1. On the operating system command line, type the following:

GO LICPGM

Press the Enter key, and select Option 10 to display a list of installed license programs. If products 5722SS1 Option 12 (Host Server), 5722XE1 *BASE, 5722XW1 *BASE, and 5722XW1 Option 1 are not installed, install each missing license program option. All four license programs are required.
2. On the operating system command line, type the following:

WRKLICINF

Press the Enter key, and select Option 5 to display each of the following products:

              License
 Opt  Product   Term    Feature  Description
      5722SS1  V5R3M0    5050    Operating System/400
      5722SS1  V5        5051    Operating System/400
      5722XW1  V5        5050    iSeries Access Base
      5722XW1  V5R3M0    5101    iSeries Access Option 1

Verify that the correct usage limit and threshold value are specified for each of these products. If necessary, select Option 2 to change any value. Type the command ADDLICKEY if it has not been previously run for any of these license program features.
3. On the operating system command line type the following:

Note: Before ending the host server or the subsystem, ensure this will not affect any active users. If it will affect active users, perform this step at a more convenient time.

ENDHOSTSVR SERVER(*CENTRAL)

ENDPJ SBS(QUSRWRK) PGM(QSYS/QZSCSRVS) OPTION(*IMMED)

STRHOSTSVR SERVER(*CENTRAL)

Press the Enter key.
4. Stop and restart the PC or disconnect the PC5250 session. Then re-establish the PC5250 session.
5. If the problem is on a PC that is the system console work station, ensure the PC is at the most current version of 5722XE1 (for example, V5R3 for the V5R3 operating system) and that a current version of its service pack is installed.

If the problem is on a PC that is not a system console, installing the current level of 5722XE1 and its service pack might not be required; however, they are recommended.

Correzione

Possible problems by not following recommendation are listed below:

o LDAP not restarting properly or losing data due to the server not being ended before subsystems.
o Netserver not restarting due to tasks not ending properly without an end of the server prior to the ending of subsystems.

Network Server:

Recommendation:

VRYCFG CFGOBJ(NWSDNAME) CFGTYPE(*NWS) STATUS(*OFF)
DLYJOB DLY(300)

Note: The problem is that we are waiting approximately 3-15 minutes for the network server side to shut down. The timeframe is dependent on the network server function; in other words, it is a mail server or database server. The DLYJOB may be adjusted accordingly.

Possible problems by not following recommendation:

o Network Server will not start or the e-mail server is corrupted requiring a rebuild of the e-mail system.
o Often just the operating system will not start
